The Work
The Sr. CMS Specialist coordinates the publishing of content within Lexipol’s product delivery platform, with hands-on responsibility to author, test, and publish content, as well as responsibility to optimize the publication workflow. The Sr. CMS Specialist coordinates the workload of the CMS Specialist team and partners with colleagues across CQO and the broader Content team to help ensure that all content within Lexipol’s solutions meets the highest standards of clarity, accuracy, and relevance. This role sits within the Content Quality and Operations Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use Lexipol’s proprietary content management system to publish policy content efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure content is accessible and formatted correctly.
  • Coordinate weekly workload for CMS Specialists to align with organizational priorities.
  • Use VBA scripting in Microsoft Word to review and manage documents with precision according to workflow requirements
  • Coordinate tracking of data needed for key performance metrics related to content production, and support reporting of it.
  • Apply AP and in-house style guidelines rigorously in all editing, proofreading, and publication tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively with Content team members, including program managers, editors, lawyers, and public safety content developers, to gather insights and provide feedback that optimizes the publication workflow and enhances content quality.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working under tight deadlines without compromising on quality or accuracy.
  • Train other employees to work within Lexipol’s product delivery platform effectively and troubleshoot technical issues that other users encounter.  

Requirements:  To be considered for this role, you will have this experience:
  • At least 3 years of experience in content production or publication, information systems management, or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of standard English, with proven editing, proofreading, and content testing skills.
  • Proficient in content management systems and capable of publishing and testing content within such platforms.
  • Advanced/expert level proficiency in Visual Basic for Applications, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML/XML and CSS, and UX principles for digital content.
  • Experience with Wrike, Trello, Confluence, JIRA, or other similar workflow management systems.
  • Familiarity with AP style.
  • Ability to balance speed with meticulous attention to detail; thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume operation.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working alongside legal professionals and public safety experts preferred.
  • Innately curious, constantly seeking out new knowledge and experiences, with the confidence to experiment with new technology and technical capabilities in support of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Information Systems, Information Management, or related field.

Compensation and Benefits
Lexipol offers a competitive base salary, monthly, quarterly, or annual incentive and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with Company match and a flexible paid time off plan.
Base salary for this role is 
$69-$74k, depending on experience, plus a bonus opportunity.
