The Work
As a Technical Associate Product Owner on the Wellness team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative software solutions. Our team is dedicated to improving and developing new features and functionalities that align with supporting our first responders and enhancing their user experience. You will play a pivotal role in translating business requirements into actionable tasks for the engineering team, ensuring that the product evolves to meet the market’s needs. This position is remote.
 
This is done through working in these areas of focus:
 
 Effective Requirement Gathering and Documentation (40%)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives
  • Write clear and detailed user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, stakeholder input, and alignment with the roadmap.
 Measurement:
  1. Quality and clarity of user stories documented
  2. Stakeholder satisfaction with requirement documentation
  3. Timeliness in updating and maintaining the product backlog
Active Participation in the Agile Process (30%)
  • Engage in all agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Facilitate communication between the engineering team and stakeholders.
  • Adjust and refine user stories based on feedback and any changes to requirements.
 Measurement:
  1. Effectiveness in assisting with facilitating agile ceremonies
  2. Team feedback on communication and collaboration
  3. Ability to adapt to changes and update documentation promptly
Support Engineering Team for Successful Delivery (30%)
  • Provide clarifications and answer queries from the engineering team regarding requirements
  • Work closely with developers to ensure understanding of user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Identify and address any impediments that may impact feature delivery. 
 Measurement:
  1. Reduction in development delays due to unclear requirements
  2. Engineering team satisfaction and feedback
  3. Successful on-time delivery of features
Position Responsibilities 
  • Product Backlog Management: Assist in maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Requirement Translation: Translate business concepts and requirements into detailed user stories and technical specifications.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of product features.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, bridging gaps to ensure mutual understanding.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to continuously enhance product development processes.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data to inform product decisions, identify opportunities for improvement, and proactively seek answers to complex questions.
  • Documentation: Ensure all product documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects current features and functionalities.

Requirements: To be considered for this role, you will have this experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience as a product owner or similar role within a technical environment
  • Proven ability to write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development life cycles
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Product Management and Agile Trainings or Certifications are a plus
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite including Jira and Confluence
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation and Benefits
Lexipol offers a competitive base salary, monthly, quarterly, or annual incentive and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with Company match and a flexible paid time off plan.
Comensation for this position is $90,000 plus and annual performance-based bonus.
