The Work
The FP&A team is responsible for managing financial operations of all business units, partnering with business leadership to grow sales and earnings, supporting investment activity, and evolving the Finance function.

Grow your career in finance.  Bring your experience in accounting, investment banking, finance, or management consulting, along with your Excel skills.  You will learn and be mentored on: Excel modeling; strategic out of the box thinking; and developing your executive presentation skills.  You will design presentations for specific audiences, selecting the best medium for the situation to present data, visualizations, and verbiage.

This role will involve regular communication and interaction with SVP and C-level executives. Confident communicators with well-developed social interaction and rapport building skills will thrive in this role. You will learn all aspects of our SaaS business and get wide-ranging experience, working on all aspects of the P&L statement, working with all departments.  You will learn and grow from doing the analysis on prospective acquisition companies and writing your opinions on why or why we should not buy a company. The FP&A Analyst will report to the FP&A Manager.

This is done through working in these areas of focus:

Financial Planning and Budgeting: 70%

  • Assist with forecast and budget processes for all departments and teams by:
    • Maintaining budgeting/forecasting models.
    • Anticipating requirements, trends, and variances.
  • Support month-end reporting and processes.
  • Track financial metrics and provide variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Create presentations and materials to support budgets, forecasts, etc. for both internal and external audiences.

Business Partnership: 20%

  • Work with executives and their leadership teams to facilitate clarity and transparency between day to day operations and central finance function.
  • Enhance department level planning and profitability analysis to empower executives to make optimal decisions in maximizing enterprise value.
  • Educate individuals across the business around core financial concepts and enterprise impact(s) of department level activities.
  • Support the creation of business cases related to investment opportunities.

Ad hoc: 10%

  • Involved in M&A initiatives to support the company’s inorganic growth plan.
  • Support the Private Equity Sponsor and/or Company Lender with questions and analyses.

Requirements:  To be considered for this role, you will have this experience

  • Minimum 1 year of progressive FP&A experience.
  • Solid financial, quantitative, and analytical skills, with formal training in finance or accounting and a hands-on approach – interested in flexing from spreadsheet analysis to strategy creation.
  • Experience building and managing financial models.
  • Mindset around continuous improvement, mentorship, and ownership.
  • Naturally inclusive and collaborative across a full range of internal stakeholders; leads cross-functionally by influence.
  • Nimble and entrepreneurial in nature; makes decisions with imperfect information; wired for a fast-paced, high-change, private-equity sponsored environment.
  • Good communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible senior audiences.
  • A flexible, dynamic, selfdemanding and proactive individual, able to motivate him/herself and others.
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functions and data manipulation

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to venture or private equity backed businesses and/or investment banking is valued
  • Prior experience working with or familiarity with data visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, etc.

Base salary for this role is $75-81k, plus bonus.
