The Work

The Quality Assurance (QA) team is responsible for ensuring that all software products meet defined standards for functionality, reliability, and user experience before release. QA team members are embedded in agile product teams and handle end-to-end quality activities including test planning, execution, defect reporting, and regression validation. They collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and release managers to define scope, identify risks, and validate features across web, mobile, and service platforms.

The Senior QA Analyst is responsible for executing advanced test scenarios and validating results across assigned features, devices, and environments. This role designs and maintains manual and automated test cases using supported tools, covering functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing. The Senior QA Analyst contributes to test planning efforts, records results in TestRail, and applies risk-based strategies to ensure adequate coverage. This role also supports process improvement by recommending updates to tools, documentation, and workflows, and provides informal guidance to QA team members as needed.

This is done through working in these areas of focus:

Key Performance Objective #1 (35%) – Execute and Validate High-Impact Testing Across Features and Platforms
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web, mobile, and service layers
  • Execute and troubleshoot complex manual and automated test cases across multiple environments
  • Record, track, and verify results in TestRail with consistency and accuracy
  • Prioritize and escalate critical issues and anomalies during execution
Key Performance Objective #2 (25%) – Design and Maintain Effective Test Cases and Automation Assets
  • Design robust manual and automated test cases aligned with business goals and technical complexity
  • Refactor and maintain existing test cases/scripts to reflect product changes and edge cases
  • Ensure all new test assets are stored, traceable, and organized within TestRail
  • Contribute to improved automation coverage through reusable and modular test case design
Key Performance Objective #3 (25%) – Contribute to Test Planning and Risk-Based Test Strategy Development
  • Drive test planning sessions and align test scope with feature requirements and development estimates
  • Analyze product risks and prioritize coverage based on business impact and technical complexity
  • Coordinate with product managers and developers to ensure readiness of stories and acceptance criteria
  • Partner with QA leads to shape strategy and define clear entry/exit criteria for testing activities

Key Performance Objective #4 (15%) – Support QA Team Growth, Coordination, and Process Maturity
  • Provide informal mentorship and feedback to QA Analysts on test case quality and tool usage
  • Monitor test progress during sprints and report blockers, status, or potential release risks to scrum teams and QA leadership
  • Recommend improvements in tools, documentation standards, or test processes
  • Actively contribute to team retrospectives and quarterly quality improvement initiatives
Requirements: To be considered for this role, you will have this experience:
  1. 5+ years of software QA experience with demonstrated ownership of testing in agile environments
  2. Proven ability to design, execute, and maintain complex test scenarios based on product requirements
  3. Experience creating automated test cases on a platform such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
  4. Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and risk-based testing practice
  5. Experience building test cases using test case mgmt. tools like TestRail
  6. Experience in performing cross-platform, integration, and regression testing
  7. Clear, concise communication and documentation skills; capable of conveying QA status to non-technical stakeholders
  8. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, TestRail, Confluence, or similar
  9. Track record of mentoring or supporting other QA team members

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience testing APIs or backend systems using tools such as Postman or Swagger
  • Experience using performance or load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Artillery, Gatling)
  • Experience with SQL or other query languages for validating backend data and test scenarios
  • Comfort working in environments with CI tools, test data setup, or environment configuration
  • Domain experience in healthcare, finance, or other regulated industries

Compensation and Benefits
Lexipol offers a competitive base salary, monthly, quarterly, or annual incentive and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with Company match and a flexible paid time off plan.
Target base salary for this role is $105-115k, with a 5% annual bonus potential.
