Our mission is to enhance the safety and effectiveness of those who serve and protect our communities.

We are building a modern software platform for public safety and are seeking a hands-on DevOps leader who enjoys working alongside engineers while providing strong technical and operational leadership.

Role Overview
Lexipol is seeking an experienced Manager of DevOps to lead and grow our DevOps capabilities while staying closely involved in day-to-day execution. This role balances hands-on technical work with people leadership, operational excellence, and strategic planning.

The Manager of DevOps works closely with Engineering, QA, and other Technology teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure that supports Lexipol’s products and growth. This leader is comfortable working in the trenches—designing pipelines, responding to incidents, improving reliability, and supporting security initiatives—while also mentoring engineers and establishing best practices.

This role owns DevSecOps and product security within the DevOps team and partners closely with Lexipol’s Enterprise Security team to align on security standards, tooling, risk management, and compliance, ensuring security is embedded throughout the software delivery lifecycle without slowing delivery or operations.

Key Responsibilities
Hands-On DevOps Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevOps Engineers while actively contributing to technical work as needed.
  • Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines across multiple product lines, ensuring automation, quality, and repeatability.
  • Participate directly in infrastructure design, implementation, and troubleshooting across development, QA, and production environments.
  • Participate directly in deployments and releases, supporting reliable and predictable delivery to customers.

DevSecOps & Product Security
  • Own DevSecOps practices for Lexipol product platforms, ensuring security is integrated into CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and runtime environments.
  • Partner closely with the Enterprise Security team to align on security standards, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
  • Implement and maintain security automation within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., static analysis, dependency scanning, container scanning, and secrets management).
  • Support vulnerability remediation efforts by collaborating with Engineering teams and prioritizing security improvements alongside reliability and performance work.
  • Ensure audit readiness and operational support for SOC2 and other compliance requirements impacting product platforms.

Operational Excellence & Reliability
  • Define, implement, and enforce operational processes including documentation, runbooks, on-call practices, escalations, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-mortems.
  • Ensure system availability, performance, reliability, and recoverability through strong SRE and DevOps practices.
  • Investigate software and infrastructure-related issues, recommend solutions, and implement improvements to reduce MTTR and prevent recurrence.
  • Support incident response and serve as an escalation point when necessary.

Security & Compliance
  • Implement and monitor security best practices to protect systems and data, ensuring compliance with SOC2 and other applicable standards.
  • Deploy, manage, and improve Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions to support security monitoring, alerting, and audit readiness.
  • Partner with Security and Engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.

Cloud & Infrastructure Management
  • Manage and evolve cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS, with Azure exposure) and supporting services.
  • Apply infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g., Terraform) to ensure consistency, scalability, and auditability.
  • Support change management efforts related to legacy systems, new products, and acquisitions.
  • Recommend and evaluate new tools and technologies that improve reliability, security, and developer productivity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with Solutions Management (Product Management), Engineering, QA, Data Services, Internal Technology, Enterprise Security, and other stakeholders to align DevOps priorities with product roadmaps, delivery timelines, and customer outcomes.
  • Participate in design and refinement discussions, providing operational and reliability-focused input.
  • Assist in the creation of design documents, technical documentation, and training materials.

Requirements:
  • 6–9 years of experience supporting software product development in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure-focused role.
  • 1-2  years of experience leading or managing DevOps or infrastructure teams, with a strong emphasis on mentorship and hands-on contribution.
  • Proven experience building and supporting complex, cloud-based web systems.
  • Strong experience with AWS; familiarity with Azure preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
  • Solid background in networking, system administration, and security best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling, automation, and scripting (Groovy, shell scripting preferred).
  • Experience administering databases or database platforms.
  • Experience supporting compliance-driven environments (SOC2 preferred).
  • Experience implementing or supporting DevSecOps practices within a product-focused engineering organization.
  • Working knowledge of application and cloud security concepts, vulnerability management, and secure software delivery practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.

Target Outcomes / Success Metrics
  • Faster, more reliable software delivery cycles through optimized CI/CD pipelines.
  • High developer satisfaction with tools, environments, and onboarding.
  • Secure, scalable, and observable infrastructure aligned with business and compliance goals.
  • High-performing DevOps team with consistent coaching, quality, and velocity.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
